Our Limerick based client is looking to recruit a Director of Quality Assurance, you will be based in the Italian facility.

You will drive product and process quality in line with annual corporate quality goals. Introduce and maintain an integrated quality management system and reporting structures in line with corporate quality directives. Maintain closed loop corrective action system to resolve internal (factory) and external (customer and intercompany) quality issues. Motivate and lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and process development. Preparation and presentation of monthly and ad hoc reports. Budget preparation and management for the quality department. Quality responsibility for product transfer programs and new product introduction (NPI) Direct and manage environmental aspects. Organizational Development (Staffing and training) Qualifications & Training: Primary Degree in Electronic Engineering (BSc, BEng or equivalent) and a recognized post graduate qualification in Quality.

Minimum Experience & and Profile :

10 years + in a mid to large size electronics manufacturing environment of which 5 years is held at Quality Manager level.
Fluency in Italian is essential
Demonstrates management / leadership capabilities.
Experienced in working in a high variety manufacturing environment.
Able to interface in a professional manner with employees and customers at all organisational levels. Wavesoldering, SMT and magnetics assembly experience.
Experience with safety agency requirements and reporting. Knowledge of manufacturing and design quality standards which pertain to the electronics industry. i.e. IEC and IPC.
Knowledge of root cause tools (5Ws, FMEA, Fault Tree). Works rapidly and accurately, must be detailed orientated and work well under pressure.
Computer literate Effective communicator, written and oral.
Knowledge of ISO9001 and 14001 standards. Fluency in English ( written and oral) Energetic, tolerant, positive and outgoing.
Willing to travel.
