The Networks department is at the core of the business functions within the Digiweb Group, designing, building and operating the core and access networks that support all of our products and services.

Role
You are an accomplished technical professional with wide experience across a diverse range of technologies (fibre, WDM, DSL, Ethernet, MPLS, IP and voice networks). From your years with an ISP, telco, or systems integrator, you will understand the interworking required between these technologies to create viable customer solutions, and be able to ensure both the deliverability, and manageability, of your solutions into the future. You are comfortable managing a strong team, developing the members, and imbuing in them your own sense of top notch technical excellence and customer service.
You delight in keeping your customers satisfied through blending appropriate network resilience with insightful network monitoring and timely operational response.
Commercially minded, you will enjoy optimizing the network to deliver best return and creating products that deliver value and are attractive to customers.
Responsibilities
· Full responsibility for network operations within Digiweb to include nationwide wireless / fibre networks, core and transit networks.
· Network engineering design & deployment for IP and voice networks including associated management frameworks
· Ongoing capacity management and optimization of IP and voice networks
· Technical product and service development for the Group
· Supporting Sales in developing proposals and solutions to new and existing customers
· Departmental opex and capex budget management
· Recruitment, management and motivation of a number of growing technical engineering teams.
· Promoting and implementing continual innovation and improvement within a fast paced environment.
· Working to aggressive schedules and ensuring effective delivery at all times.
· Providing input to the overall strategic direction of the Group
· All required reporting to Senior Management.
· Ensure and achieve optimal performance of nationwide network operations.
Requirements
· BE or BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience desirable.
· Appropriate industry qualifications (e.g. CCIE, JNCIE) desirable but not essential.
· Experience with running an operational network with multiple technologies, supporting corporate customers
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and a willingness to exercise these on a daily basis
· A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
· Team management
· Capable of prioritizing across multiple domains on ongoing basis
