This position is responsible for the development and coordination of the demand management of products and the conversion of those demands into production schedules. This position is required to maintain ongoing production planning activities in the coordination and execution of production schedules for all products manufactured at our client site in Cork. This position focuses on the integration of the Planning and Manufacturing processes and is responsible for the management of the materials in the production supply areas, while also ensuring that intermediate inventories are maintained within goal. This position is responsible for the development of policies, procedures, systems and processes for the Planning area to ensure the fluent supply of materials and products. Also, this position will assist in the implementation of the business planning systems and be responsible for the maintenance of the Logistics master files and inventory reporting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of production schedules to ensure that customer requirements are meet, while facilitating efficient manufacturing operations.
- Maintain material inventories within goal, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired materials.
- Contribute to the global balancing of materials and supplies within the Global
Pharmaceutical Supply Group (GPSG).
- Co-ordinate the inventory strategies of inventories within each of the production areas.
- Ensure production supply areas are optimized to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Vendor schedule materials to meet plant operational requirements, while ensuring
efficient and effective purchasing practices.
- Develop and coordinate schedules for the testing and release of materials and products.
- Ensure inventory and operational transactions are executed on time and Logistics master files are maintained up to date.
- Co-ordination and completion of required compliance process activities including Change Control, Deviations, Events & CAPA’s.
- Develop, maintain and publish information on supply chain management benchmark’s and KPI’s
- Development and implementation of Business Planning and Control systems applications and processes.
- Development and maintenance of policies and procedures for the Logistics Planning area.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- At least 2 years of SAP Experience is essential – in particular PP & PE.
- Experience of bills materials, process orders, master data and production planning.
- Experience in production planning supply chain management in a pharmaceutical
environment.
- Achieved or working towards a qualification in Supply Chain Management (NITL, APICS, IIPMM,)
- Experience in the implementation, development and execution of business planning and control systems.
