Title: Human Resources Generalist EMEA

Reporting to: EMEA HR Manager

Job Description

This broad based HR function covers a range of disciplines across a range of countries (currently 15 in EMEA with around 170 employees). The successful candidate will assist with the effective management of the company's Human Resources by thriving in an environment which is supportive of the ideas and values of the company.

The ideal candidate:
  • Your primary function will be to ensure that all transactional tasks are completed correctly, however you will be provided with exposure to an exciting range of HR disciplines and will have hands on exposure and accountability from the outset.
  • You are a self starter, combining an eye for detail and pride in your work with a credibility and maturity that will enable you to influence and assist managers and individual contributors alike.
  • You are ambitious, and not afraid of the hard work that a growing company will provide.
  • You are organised, and methodical but your entrepreneurial approach is essential. As the successful candidate you will be expected to work autonomously and independently and work with the EMEA HR Manager to drive forward the establishment of the EMEA HR function.
  • You are excited by the prospect of travelling to some of our 15 countries in order to ensure that the HR department provides the best service to our employees.


Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and administer efficient HR administration systems to provide all necessary Human Resource Management information. Maintain the local HR files.
  • Issue contracts, and starting documentation to new employees in compliance with local labour law and Company standards. Work with pension providers, health insurers and brokers also to that end. Ensuring all purchase orders and invoices are processed for prompt payment for the EMEA HR purchases.
  • Ensure that all HR practices remain SOX (Sarbannes Oxley) compliant.
  • Active involvement in the recruitment of staff in the region. This includes giving managers guidance for developing job descriptions/person specifications, giving guidance on compensation and benefits, controlling the correct approvals process for requisitions and offer approvals, shortlisting and issuing accurate and legally correct contracts of employment.
  • Control of new hire process, including ensuring all the correct documentation is collected before a new hire starts and then assisting with induction when the new hire joins. Assisting managers with 30-60-90 day checks and completion of probation.
  • Work with the internal payroll function and outsourced payroll providers to ensure that payroll is effectively administered. Liaise with finance to ensure that all payments are made on a timely basis.
  • Work with the EMEA HR Manager to administer competitive Compensation and Benefit plans in all countries across the region. Ensure effective local administration of the agreed plans.
  • Work with the EMEA HR Manager to ensure that local terms and conditions are in compliance across EMEA. Develop and issue employee handbooks to that end.
  • Assist with the annual/half yearly review process for the region.
  • Ensure that employee training and development needs are regularly and systematically identified and that programmes are delivered to meet these needs.

    Lead the development, implementation and administration of health and safety programmes, which result in a safe and healthy work environment.

    Provide expertise in managing and maintaining a positive and open style of communication across the region.

    Work with external counsel and internal management to resolve any employee related issues that may arise.
  • Ad hoc projects as required


Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree educated with post graduate Human Resources qualifications
  • Broad based HR experience, preferably working across EMEA
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, self confident individual with a passion for Human Resources
  • Previous experience working for a UScompany preferred ( but not necessary)
  • Able to work independently, committed to driving change, comfortable with a long hours culture.
