Vacancy Overview
Reporting to the IT Manager, this IT Graduate position will be based in Co. Clare. This position will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the sites network and servers, as well as providing support to users on site.

Overview of the responsibilities of the Graduate:

· Install new and existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

· Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

· Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

· Perform regular security monitoring and anti-virus updates etc. and identify any possible intrusions.

· Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery of backup as required. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.

· Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.

· Providing IT support to computer community users.

· Overseeing file management on centralised resource (e.g. server) or on individual workstations

· Assist development team to implement business systems.

Candidate Profile
Background

· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science

· MCSA or CCNA certification

· 6 - 18 months system administrative experience

Technical Knowledge

· Server maintenance

· Working knowledge of ERP business systems e.g. SAP, Oracle etc would be an advantage
