The client
My client is one of the leading providers of online travel websites in the world today which include some of the most instantly recognisable and market leading brands. The company has ambitious growth plans based on the calibre of the employee that they hire. The company is both employee and customer focused so therefore, this represents an excellent opportunity.
The candidate
The head of business intelligence is a new role created to ensure the business leverages the investment made in BI and continues to invest in it. It is a senior role on the management team with responsibility for four business analysts.
Role and Responsibilities
· The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent analytical, stakeholder management and project management skills for 10 plus years and have at least five years in an e-commerce company.
· A background in statistics, computer science or engineering would be ideal for this role or someone with an MBA from a top university.
· Working closely with stakeholders the head of BI will understand the competitive, strategic and operational considerations that drive them
· Must have a working familiarity with all aspects of BI and Information Management processes, technologies and architectures.
· Must have a working understanding of an e-commerce business, product, marketing and finance being key.
· The candidate must have a track record of creating a BI vision for the business.
