Our Client, well established Nursing home with HSE Support, is currently looking to fill the position of Director of Care. Excellent support available for this role. Excellent long term career opportunity. Main focus of the role - residents' care.
Requirements
- The ideal Candidate will be a natural leader and will possess strong people management skills and will demonstrate drive and ambition.
- Previous experience in a nursing home environment
- Proven track record and ability to manage and lead teams in a fast paced environment a must.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills also required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of regulatory compliance and HIQA standards.
- Must have worked with the elderly 3 of the last 6 years.
Main Duties
- The Director of Nursing is responsible the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to our Residents.
- Wellbeing of patients being priority, team management, documentation, keeping care of excellent level, (this is not a hands on job)
The selected DON will ensure that set standards and legislative requirements for resident care are attained and exceeded.
