Hartley People are currently recruiting for a full time BUYER for the cork area. The company are in the pharma sector. To receive collate, process and fulfil customer’s local product requirement.
The candidate must:
Operate as on site buyer
Responsible for placing purchasing orders for new and existing products.
Liaise with external suppliers, customer engineering, third party sub contractors and all aspects of the operations, to maintain proactive successful relations.
Issue, receive and manage customer owned inventory and the companies Consignment inventory utilising the customer stock management systems.
Utilise the ERP system for processing sales orders and controlling owned inventory.
Requirements:
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving team environment
Good negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Understanding of supply chain systems and processes.
Must have good knowledge of Excel.
Attention to detail.
Self Starter
Qualification in Procurement
Experience in Pharma industry is an advantage.
The person will be working within the purchasing department. Responsible for sourcing goods and suppliers. Responsible for negotiating best prices, terms and conditions on a regular basis with the suppliers. The ideal candidate will have some experience working within the pharma sector.
Salary: €30k-35k p.a.
